If I apply to a job online, how do I know that my application has been received and how will I be contacted?
After you have logged in with your username and password, you can track all your job applications by clicking on the ‘My Job Application’ link under My Home. When you apply for a particular job, an e-mail along-with your Cover Letter and CV is automatically sent to the Recruiter or Employer who has posted the job. In case your CV is found suitable, the Recruiter or Employer will contact you directly.
How can I be sure that my CV and contact details are confidential?
PetroJobRecruit.co.uk verifies the credentials of all Recruiter and Employers (company registration, VAT etc.) in the UK or Overseas before allowing them to be formally registered and Post Jobs or access the CVs. Thus, your CV will be accessed by genuine Recruiters or Employers for purposes of employment only.
You have the added option of making your CV ‘unsearchable’ in which case your CV/contact details will be hidden from Recruiters or Employers. However, you will still be able to login to PetroJobRecruit.co.uk and apply to jobs or receive job alerts.
How do I register as an Employer or a Recruiter?

Recruiter or Employers having registered offices in the European Union have to specify their VAT Registration number (including the 2 digit country code).
The Company name and the Country (based on Company and VAT registration) chosen at the time of registration will be final and cannot be changed afterwards.

What’s the difference between an Employer and a Recruiter?
An Employer is any business in the Petroleum industry, registered in the UK or Overseas which hires people as employees, whether permanent staff or contract. The Employer could be an oil company, engineering & construction contractor, oilfield service company, drilling contractor, engineering consultancy, oil trading company etc.
A Recruiter is either an employment agency or an employment business, registered in the UK or Overseas, which is in the business of providing recruitment services (for permanent staff or contract) to the Employer as a supplier.
Why do you have separate logins for Recruiters and/or Employers?
Only Recruiters have the provision of full access to the entire PetroJobRecruit.co.uk CV/Resume database, whereas the Employers can view only one CV at a time, and that too after purchasing a credit for that CV.
In due course, we will be adding more functionalities to the system, like recruitment campaigns which would be for Employers only.
